The Landrigan Motorsports team and star American driver Brad Sweet wrapped up their 2024-25 season Australian racing trip together that saw them based in Western Australia over the Christmas-New Year period.

In what was their third Australian racing trip together, Brad contested a total of eight nights aboard the USA # 49 SKWA Contracting supported Maxim from the Landrigan Motorsports team stable and it included a win, a second and a third. Commencing his Australian racing trip with the three nights of the High Limit International at the Perth Motorplex, Brad was right in the mix throughout the $100,000 to win. 

Despite missing out on top prize, the current High Limit Racing Champion ended up third on the opening night and then missed out on the podium by one spot the following night and then ran fourth again during the third and final night that paid $100,000 to the winner.

After three hectic High Limit International nights, Brad and the team on January 1 headed to Bunbury Speedway, where they didn’t have the best of nights, and it saw them crash out of the running during the feature race.

Following the previous night’s crash at Bunbury Speedway, Brad bounced back in the best possible fashion the next night at the Perth Motorplex by taking out the feature race spoils for the sixth USA VS WA Speedweek Series round. On January 4, Brad made a return to Bunbury Speedway for the second and final occasion of this trip. He was on the pace throughout the night, and it resulted in him bringing home a second-place finish in the feature race.

Last weekend, Brad and the Landrigan Motorsports team concluded their racing trip together for the two nights at the Perth Motorplex with the USA VS WA Speedweek Series finale, but it saw them endure a challenging run. On the Friday night, Brad was running in podium contention up until engine woes forced him out of the running, while the next night, which saw him armed with replacement engine, Brad struggled with the new engine package and ended the night in the feature race with a top 10 finish.

Team manager Jamie Landrigan was pleased to have the world’s top Sprintcar racer visiting Australian shores with the Landrigan Motorsports team.
“It was fantastic to have Brad competing in Australia with us once again, and it was really special to be a part of the first ever High Limit International held in Australia at the Perth Motorplex with him,” he expressed.

“Although we didn’t have the overall results that we would have hoped for, we still had a great time together and still managed to finish well over half of the feature races we contested during this trip inside the top five, which was highlighted by the Perth Motorplex victory on January 2, and Brad and our team are already in talks about him coming back again next season with us.”
